Mason's Belief Statement Essay

The Masonism Movement

Core Beliefs

A. How do you act differently because of your beliefs?
I do what i want to do instead of what other people are doing. I am being different than everyone else by being myself.

B. What is the purpose of life according your –Ism?
To find happiness in your life and work hard to achieve the things you want to do.

C. How does the rest of the world differ from your core beliefs? Why are you right? (Why do you keep your beliefs in the face of others who do not share them?)
A lot of people in the world think that being like everyone else is cool and i think that being yourself is the way to go. This is good becuse than you are not afraid of being made fun of. If they think that going with the crowd is right than they are wrong because than you cant have different people. You would have billions of the sam person that looks different.

D. What beliefs do you you share with others? (What common ground do you see between your -Ism and others' -Isms)
I share the belief that abortion is murder. If you are gonna get an abortion you shouldnt get pregnant in the first place. You are taking a life which is the same as comitting murder. I also share the belief that killing one person to save the lives of others is ok. If you kill someone who is a threat to other people i think that is a good thing.

Role in Society

A. What is your role in society according to your -Ism? (How do you fit in among your peers?)
I am the one that tries to look at most things in a good way. Instead of having a negative outlook i think about them as being somethng that can be good.

B. What your method of connection to others? (Are you part of a greater whole? Do you use emotions? Are you able to relate to others through a common experience? Do you see yourself in groups or cliques?)
I connect to people through music. Music gets all ideas out whether good, bad, sad, angry, evil. Whatever you are feeling, you can get it out and explain it to others through music. Music is yours and you can customize it to your liking. When you write a song it really gets out the emotions that are stored up. This makes it easy to really connect to others and there feelings.

C. How much do you care for yourself vs. other people? (Is your –Ism more concerned with selfishness or giving?)
I care for other people but finding my happiness is more important than finding someone elses happiness. I want the best for them but i think about myself more.

D. How do you envision the power structure (machinery) of society? (What power do you have? How do you gain power or lose power?)
Everyone starts out with equal power and the things people do, good or bad, determine whether they gain power and respect or lose it. If a person is doing good things there whole life, others will respect that person more than a person that does bd things.

E. This fits because my ism is all about being yourself and personalizing everything. Instead of going with the crowd you need to be yourself and do things that aren't really expected.

F. How do you view major social institutions (government, welfare, religion, etc.)?
I believe in God but i am not gonna tell someone what to believe in religiously. I believe in religious freedom. I also believe that people should vote for who they like and not for who is most popular.

Solving Problems

A. What are the “societal goods” that you promote, and how does it promote these? (charity, equality, etc.)
I promote equality at the start but once those people start making decisions they could have good or bad consequences that lead to them being more or less equal. I also promote happiness at all times. I do this because I think that when you are happy it makes everything better.

B. What are the “societal ills” that you try to solve, and how do you solve these? (racism, stress, etc.)
I try to solve these by giving everyone a chance to become someone special. Everyone can become someone that is a role model, it just depends on how they tackle the challenges of life. Everyone is equal no matter what race or sex they are and that gets rid of racism and a lot of bad things that are said about people.

C. How does your –ism deal with the invisible, but persistent pressures of life (Patriarchy, the pressure to be a success, the pressure to be cool)?
I try to be good at everything i do but if i am not good it dosent matter. As long as I am trying to do new things and i am trying to do tham well there is no pressure to succeed.

Debate

A. What are the debates that you are concerned with waging? Why? (Abortion, Equality, Truth, Etc.)
I believe that abortion is a bad thing. I do not believe in it one bit. If you get pregnant, that is a decision you made and there are going to be consequences. If you get pregnant, but dont want the baby that is a consequence. I also believe that everyone starts out equal and the things we do determine how we are treated. These ideas are things i would be willing to argue with if someone else thought other wise.

B. How would you frame these debates so that only your ideas would be seen as right?
I say that abortion is murder and murder is against the law. I also convince people about my way of equality by giving them an example. Criminals should not be as equal as everyone else because they have done something bad. They chose to break the law and they should have consequences.

Your Head

A. How does your –Ism influence the way you see everyday sights, events, and objects?
My beliefs are everything that i do. Everything revolves around my thoughts and beliefs. If i see something happening i will form an opinion about it that is involved with my beliefs.

B. What is a day in your life like because of your -Ism?
I express myself in everything that i do. I dont care what people say or think about me as long as im happy. I try to be myself and not someone that is fake. I also try to make decisions from my own experiences and not just go along with the crowd.

Other Important Aspects

A. What are the other defining aspects of your –Ism that are not discussed in the other sections of this Outline?
My friends choose to be my friends. If someone dosent like the person i am then they dont have to be around me. They have the choice to be my friend or not and i am not going to force them.
